AP ICET 2023 Syllabus

AP ICET syllabus will contain the subjects such as Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability and Communication Ability. With the help of given below syllabus, candidates must check the subjects which will be going to ask in the examination.

Analytical Ability

In analytical ability section question will be asked from Data Sufficiency, Problem Solving etc.

Data Sufficiency:

A question is given followed by data in the form of two statements labelled as (i) and (ii ).

If the data given in

(i) alone is sufficient to answer the question then choice (1) is the correct answer.

 (ii) alone is sufficient to answer the question then choice (2) is the correct answer.

If both (i) and (ii) put together are sufficient to answer the question but neither statement alone is sufficient, then choice (3) is the correct answer.

If both (i) and (ii) put together are not sufficient to answer the question and additional data is needed, then choice (4) is the correct answer.

Problem Solving:

• Sequences and Series: Analogies of numbers and alphabet, completion of blank spaces following the pattern in a: b: c:d relationship; odd thing out: missing number in a sequence or series
• Data Analysis: The data presented in a Table, Graph, bar diagram, Pie Chart, Venn diagram, or Passage must be analyzed, and questions about the data must be answered.
• Coding and Decoding Problems: There is an English Alphabet code pattern provided. The given code or codes are to be used to code or decode a given word or group of letters.
• Date, Time & Arrangement Problems: Calendar issues, clock issues, blood relationships, arrivals, departures, and schedules, seating arrangements, symbol and notation interpretation.

Mathematical Ability

Arithmetical Ability:

Index laws, ratio and proportion; surds; numbers and divisibility, l.c.m. and g.c.d; rational numbers, ordering Profit and loss; percentages; Pipes and cisterns, time, distance, and work problems, areas and volumes, mensuration, and modular arithmetic are all topics covered.

Algebraic and Geometrical Ability:

Statements, Truth tables, converse and inverse implication, Tautologies-Sets, Functions and relationships A line equation in various forms, Polynomials, Theorem of Remainders and its Consequences Linear expressions and equations, Progressions, Theorem of Binomials, Matrices, The concept of a limit and derivative, Lines of planar geometry Triangles, quadrilaterals, circles, and squares Distance between points in coordinate geometry Trigonometry consists of trigonometric ratios. Standard angle trigonometric ratios (0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°, 180°): Trigonometric identities: sample problems on heights and distances,

Statistical Ability:

Frequency distributions, Mean,

Median,

Mode,

Standard Deviation,

Correlation,

simple problems on Probability.

Communication Ability

Candidates will be assessed on the ability to:

• Recognize vocabulary used in daily communication.
• Understand the functional use of grammar in both everyday communication and business contexts.
• Recognize basic computer and business terminology and concepts (letters, reports, memoranda, agenda, minutes etc.).
• Understanding written text and drawing conclusions
• Part 1: Vocabulary
• Part 2: Business and computer jargon
• Section 3: Functional Grammar
• Part 4: Reading Comprehension (3 Passages)

AP ICET Exam Pattern 2023

The examination contains 200 questions in total.

• Each question carries one point.
• The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test is an offline examination that uses pen and paper.
• The AP ICET Exam will be an objective type paper.
• Candidates will be given 2 and 1/2 hours to complete the examination paper.
• The examination paper is divided into three sections.
