Notification For Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test (EDCET) 2023

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education on behalf of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati (APSCHE). AP EdCET Notification 2023 will be released in March and will be held in April as an online Computer Based Test (CBT) for admissions into B.Ed regular courses (two years duration) offered in Andhra Pradesh universities and affiliated colleges of education for the academic year 2023-2024. Payment of the Application Fee
1.General category candidates must pay an application fee of Rs 600/-, while SC/ST candidates must pay Rs 400/-.
2.The fee can be paid at any AP Online location as well as through a payment gateway (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking).
Eligibility Criteria for AP EdCET 2023
Nationality and Place of Residence
1. The candidate must be of Indian origin.
2. The candidate must be a resident of the state of Andhra Pradesh and meet the requirements for Local / Non-Local status as outlined in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions Act of 1974, as amended.
Educational Qualifications
1. Candidates should have passed / appearing for final year examination of B.A / B.Sc / B.Sc Home science / B.Com / B.C.A / B.B.M at the time of submitting the application for entrance. Candidates should be required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at the time of admission.
2.Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks ( 40% marks for in case of SC / ST / BC / PH) either in the Master Degree in relevant subject or 5 years Integrated course in the relevant subject of Methodology or any other qualifying equivalent there to.
3. Candidates should have passed / appearing for final year examination of B.E / B.Tech with Science / Mathematics as one of the subject and candidates should secured a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
4. The candidates who have passed M.B.B.S / B.D.S / B.A.M.S / B.L / L.L.B / B.A (Languages) / B.O.L etc are not eligible for admission into B.Ed course.
5. Different methodology’s and Eligibility given below.
Mathematics:
B.A./B.Sc./B.E/B.Tech. candidates with mathematics as one of their subjects or B.C.A candidates with mathematics as a group subject at the intermediate level.
Physical Sciences :
Candidates with a B.Sc/B.E/B.Tech in Physics and Chemistry or Allied Material Sciences as one of their subjects, or BCA candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) as a group subject at the intermediate level.
Biological Sciences:
Candidates with a B.Sc./B.Sc.(Home Science) who have studied Botany, Zoology, or Allied Life Sciences as part of their Part II group subjects, or B.C.A. candidates with Biological Sciences as an intermediate group subject.
Social Sciences:
Candidates with a B.A./B.Com./B.B.M. or a B.C.A. with Social Sciences as an intermediate subject.
English:
Candidates with a B.A. in Special English/B.A. in English Literature/M.A. in English.
Age Restrictions
Candidates must be at least 19 years old on July 1st of the year in which the notification is issued.
There will be no upper age limit.
Application Procedure-AP EdCET (B.Ed) Online Application Form 2023
The AP EdCET Online Application 2023 will be released by the organizing authority in the month of February, so candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online only from the official website on or before the deadline.

Qualification Criteria
The entrance test qualifying cutoff mark is 25%. (37 marks out of total 150 marks). However, no qualifying percentage marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates.
Procedure for Selection
1.On the Basis of performance in the Entrance Exam.
2.Admission to a college is contingent on its Recognition / Affiliation by statutory bodies and the college choice in counselling.
3. The Reservation Rule.
4. Admission to 85% of seats shall be Reserved for local candidates, with the remaining 15% of seats remaining unreserved, as Specified in the AP Educational Institution Order 1974, as Emended.

The organizing authority will provide facility of downloading online admit cards of entrance exam on the official website tentatively from 4th week of April. Hall ticket will not sent by post / e-mail.

The authority of EdCET will conduct the entrance examination. evaluate the answer sheets and likely to declare the result by the last week of May and same will hosted on the website. There will be combined merit list along the category-wise merit list for all the candidates participating in the said examination.
